There is about 30 yards of road frontage with a wooden access gate from which a track winds down through the wood to idyllic open areas. The woodland widens out from the road and is shaped for maximum privacy and quietness.
The most magnificant mature Scots pine about 100 feet tall occupy the front area while behind this are younger Scots pine intermingled with beech and oak. There is a small area of recent planting of sweet chestnut. On the far boundary holly predominates.
