As we look at ways to offset our carbon emissions what could be better than creating a native broadleaf wood?  Cadge Wood provides the new owner with a unique chance to mold their own wood.

Planted in 2010 with oak, ash, field maple, silver birch, sweet chestnut and wild cherry along with smaller shrubs such as hazel and guelder rose ensures that this wood will have plenty of variety and be a haven for wildlife in the future.

Cadge Wood takes its name from the ancient skill of falconry which was once very popular in this area its the wooden frame that falcons were traditionally carried out into the hunting field on.

Pretty views of the surrounding Suffolk countryside can be enjoyed along with wild flowers in the hedgerows attracting many butterflies. Located in the Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB click here for details where some of East Anglias best landscapes can be enjoyed.  Suffolk's Geology click here for details can be seen here and gives a different dimension to the land.
