A truly beautiful Derbysire broadleaved wood for sale with a small alder fringed meadow.  The meadow fronts onto the fast flowing picturesque Highlow Brook. A written description can hardly do justice to the beauty, quality and features of this woodland; a visit is a must. It is south facing and situated on the northern side of the Highlow valley.

There is long frontage to the brook and the remains of a leat which in the past took water to a small mill, of which there are remnants including the mill race and mill stones.

A small stream flows down the valleyside dividing the woodland in half, to the west there are oak and silver birch and to the east hazel, oak, sycamore, lime and birch. Bluebells florish in spring over the whole area.

Classified as semi-natural ancient woodland and situated in the Peak District National Park the land was once part of the Duke of Devonshire's Chatsworth Estate.

Access:  is from the country lane through the metal gate and along a right of way across a meadow to the entrance gate.

Boundaries: are to the north the two meadows; to the east the stone wall running down to the meadow; to the south its the centre of the stream.  To the south west its a stone wall and to the north west the fence to the west of the track.

Covenant: the purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant, for details click HERE.
