Cullens Hill Wood is a small well mixed woodland located in the picturesque village of Elham within the Kent Downs AONB.
The woodland itself has been untouched by human hands for some time and contains an interesting mix of species. Mature sycamore and ash are dotted throughout the main woodland with a naturally regenerating understory of hazel and chestnut. Some lovely field maple can be found on the western edge, holly and yew are also present.
The secluded site sits on a gentle slope for the most part but can be steep in some areas. When you do reach the higher section the views are far reaching. There are some clear flat areas that would allow for camping and woodland activities.
Locally, the centre of Elham village is within walking distance with shops and a good pub. The south coast is just a short drive away as is Deal to the east.
Ward is North Downs East and the County Council is Kent
Boundaries: The boundary is fenced to the north and follows the road and neighbouring land. The southern boundary is fenced and meets open fields. East and west are also fenced.
Access: Access is currently on foot only. There is an entrance leading from the road as marked on the map but it does require some clearing.
