Bronze Wood is a spacious woodland with a park-like feel. It provides an opportunity to own a fine wood located within The Chiltern Hills Area of Natural Beauty and only a short distance from the popular town of Great Missenden and all it has to offer.

Huge beech stand throughout the woodland, once part of the Hampden Estate, first enclosed in around 1800. Less than a mile to the north is Pulpit Hill, an Iron Age fort and late Bronze Age settlement. Other local points of interest include the market town of Princes Risborough and also Coombe Hill, the highest viewpoint in the chilterns, part of which once belonged to the Chequers Estate.

Numerous clearings throughout allow lots of light into the woodland. Underfoot, grasses cover the wider open areas, creating great spaces for camping and general enjoyment of the wood.

Bluebells carpet the floor in spring. Oak, birch, cherry, holly, hornbeam, and some ash can also be found. There are also areas where there has been recent tree planting at various stages, including oak, beech and birch. There is also a pleasant clearing and bench to enjoy the surroundings towards the southern end of the wood.

Parish is Great Missenden and the County Council is Buckinghamshire

Boundaries are marked in orange and well fenced along the southern side and also the northern boundary that meets the field. Boundaries to the east and west are bordered by road and have been left unfenced to allow wildlife to roam freely between neighbouring woods.

Access There is excellent vehicle access and parking is possible inside the woodland itself.

Covenant  There is a covenant on the wood designed to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of this and adjoining woodlands, click HERE to read and download.
