Set at the far end of the wider Blackwater Wood, the site enjoys complete seclusion and privacy, perfect for anyone looking to escape into nature.

Larch, Scots pine and oak dominate the site, with birch, sycamore and beech also present. The ground is flat throughout, with clear pathways cut through the bracken leading in and around the woodland. There are two main camp areas: one positioned centrally, and another, a huge glade, on the northeast boundary, offering lovely views out across the surrounding fields.

Wildlife is abundant in this remote setting, with hare, deer and a wealth of birdlife regularly seen.

For anyone considering owning a woodland, Spooner's Wood would make an ideal starting point, requiring minimal work and offering numerous open camp areas ready to use straight away.

Locally, Knettishall Heath Nature Reserve is within walking distance, offering miles of beautiful walks. The market town of Thetford lies a short drive to the west, with Diss just as close to the east.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and marked with blue paint on trees and posts. NW, NE and SE all border open fields and views out across the countryside. SW borders the access track and neighbouring woodland.

  • Pass by the gate and follow the track marked blue on the map. It's a lovely walk and should only take around 5 - 10 minutes.
