Calves Lodge Wood is a secluded and diverse woodland offering excellent access throughout the site, situated on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells.

The woodland benefits from a hard access track that runs around the western, northern and eastern boundaries. A private track also extends east to west through the centre of the woodland, providing easy access to the main camp area.

At the heart of the site is a large fenced clearing, creating an ideal gathering space with a fire pit and plenty of room to enjoy evenings around the campfire. The clearing also features a sturdy storage shed, a toilet, a small caravan and a useful trailer, all included in the sale.

The woodland is broadly divided into two distinct character areas. The southern section is predominantly Scots pine, while the northern half is characterised by impressive veteran oak trees. A rich variety of other species can be found throughout the wood, including Norway spruce, birch, sycamore, ash, hazel, sweet chestnut, beech and occasional yew. The wider woodland is designated as Ancient Replanted Woodland (PAWS), with abundant bluebells in spring providing a striking reminder of its ancient woodland heritage.

The terrain is generally level, making the woodland easy to explore on foot. A seasonal pond in the south-west corner attracts a variety of wildlife, including muntjac and roe deer, adding to the site's natural appeal.

Despite its tranquil atmosphere, the woodland is conveniently located. Both Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells are just a short drive away, while the nearby A21 provides easy access to London in around an hour.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and follows the access tracks E, W, N and S. All boundaries are clearly marked with blue paint on posts and trees.

Access: There is excellent vehicle access all year around via a hard track and shared locked gate. Parking is possible within the woodland itself.

For viewing purposes, follow the old Pembury Road accessed from the A21 and pass through the unlocked metal gate. There are places to park near the main entrance as marked on the map.
Enter the main site to the right of the locked gate and follow the track marked blue on the map.
After approx 450m, the north corner of the woodland will be on your left. Continue down hill for another 40m, to the main entrance.
