This is not a woodland for the faint hearted, unfit, or unadventurous! There is no vehicular access, and the only way to reach it is on foot, partly on a public footpath, partly over a right of way across a field, over a fence, then down a steep hillside, and along the riverbank. The access starts alongside an old drover's inn, the Crown Inn: you may well feel in need of food or a drink after your visit!
But it's not all bad! It does have very long frontage onto a river - the Afon Alwen - and as is normal, the owner of the adjoining land is deemed to own to the mid-point of the river. It is an uneven-aged woodland, and there is a variety of mature trees to be found. Most of the woodland is designated as Ancient Semi-Natural woodland.
The land rises quite steeply up to the eastern boundary, but there is a wide strip of fairly level land next to the river, so suitable camping spots could be found, and there are plentiful places where you could string a hammock. Some areas are carpeted with bluebells in the spring.
Boundaries: The western boundary is the river along most of the length of the wood. All other boundaries are believed to be fenced.
Sporting rights: Included (including fishing rights)
Mineral rights: Included, except as excluded by statute.
Public footpaths: There are no public footpaths or public access of any kind in the wood.
VIEWING: You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself. Please ensure that you have a copy of these sales details with you: we recommend either printing the details or downloading them to your phone/tablet/laptop before you go. Please take care when viewing as the great outdoors can contain unexpected hazards and woodlands are no exception. Make sure you take a copy of the sales particulars with you, as there may be no mobile signal at the woodland.

Directions
From the A5 10 miles west of Corwen/12 miles east of Betws-y-Coed, take the B5105, through Cerrugydrudion, signposted Ruthin.
Follow the road for 2.5 miles until you reach the Crown Inn, on the bridge over the Afon Alwen on the B5105 at Llanfihangel Glyn Myfyr.
The access to the land starts next to the Crown Inn.
Walk north along the public footpath from the Crown Inn, keeping to the highest level (not riverside) until the footpath crosses over a fence.
Climb over the fence, then follow the footpath for another 100 metres or so. The footpath runs alongside a fence for around 50 metres, before reaching a small stream. Climb over the fence at a suitable point before the stream, and walk down the hill towards the river. Once on the flat in the field next to the river, walk through the field until you reach a fence line with a Forests.co.uk For Sale sign.
