Hamsell Shaw is a wonderful mix of woodland and open meadow set in the High Weald AONB, ideal for those considering owning their own woodland or starting a rewilding project.

Hamsell Shaw is a very secluded space accessed via a private track. The woodland itself is well mixed, young oak are dominant but maple, beech, hornbeam, ash, hawthorne and hazel can be found throughout. Within the wood an excellent storage shed with a woodburner and also a log store are in place.

From within the woodland, a wide track leads out into the open paddock with a large pond, approximately 5 metres deep in winter. Thistle and wildflowers line the western edge of the meadow and some impressive oaks can be found bordering the stream and fields. In the eastern corner a secluded camp area and fire pit has been installed, perfect for family and group activities. There is also a useful observation tower for wildlife enthusiasts. Deer are often seen and the stream running along the southern border attracts an array of wildlife.

Hamsell Shaw is ideally placed, Eridge train station and also the popular Huntsman pub is within easy walking distance along the bridleway. To the north, Tunbridge Wells is just a five minute drive and Crowborough to the south, is just a mile away.

Ward is Withyham and the County Council is East Sussex

Boundaries: To the north and east the boundary borders open fields and is fenced. The southern boundary follows the stream and a fenced private road. The western side is also fenced and borders woodland.

Access: There is excellent vehicle access all year round via a locked gate. Parking is also possible inside the woodland itself.
