Queen Wood is a magnificent blend of towering beech and Douglas fir set within the beautiful North Wessex Downs.

From the main entrance, visitors are welcomed by impressive mature beech trees that give the woodland a remarkable sense of scale. Their well-spaced canopy allows dappled sunlight to filter down to the forest floor, creating a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. As you venture deeper into the woodland, Douglas fir becomes increasingly dominant in the northern section, adding privacy, texture and contrast to the landscape. Grasses, ferns, and foxgloves thrive beneath these trees and around the surrounding glades, while the occasional oak, birch, holly, and hazel can be found throughout the lower levels of the woodland.

Queen Wood is an ideal opportunity for those considering woodland ownership or management. Requiring very little work, it offers a wealth of open areas that would make excellent bases for camping, woodland activities, relaxation, or simply enjoying time with family and friends.

The sunny clearings attract a rich variety of birdlife and insects, while roe, fallow, and muntjac deer are frequent visitors. Woodland hares can also often be seen among the trees and glades.

The small village of Enham, with its local shop, and The Oak pub in Smannell are both within walking distance. The market town of Andover is just a five-minute drive away, providing convenient access to the A303 and onward connections.

Ward is Burghclere, Highclere and St Mary Bourne and the County Council is Hampshire
