Brokes Wood (part) is a diverse Ancient and Semi-Natural Woodland located on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells, within the High Weald National Landscape.

The property comprises two separate titles, which are being offered for sale together as a single lot. The woodland is dominated by mature veteran oak, beech and sweet chestnut, with birch, alder, sycamore, ash, holly and occasional conifer. At ground level, grasses and ferns thrive alongside the seasonal stream, while in spring the woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells.

The terrain is varied, with a mixture of gently sloping areas and numerous level sections dispersed throughout the woodland. A centrally positioned clearing provides attractive views across the site.

Despite its proximity to the town, the woodland supports a range of wildlife. Deer are frequently seen within the wood, and badgers are also regular visitors.

Brokes Wood presents excellent potential as a community-focused woodland project for local residents and families. Having remained largely unmanaged for many years, the woodland would benefit from sympathetic stewardship and management. With careful attention, it could become a valuable natural retreat for those interested in conservation, woodland management, education, or simply enjoying the outdoors.

The woodland enjoys convenient access to local amenities, with Southborough and High Brooms railway station both within walking distance. Tunbridge Wells town centre is approximately a five-minute drive away.

Ward is Southborough & Bidborough and the County Council is Kent.

Boundaries: The boundary is open on all sides and borders neighbouring woodland W, N and E. S follows the public footpath. The boundary is marked with red and blue paint on trees.

Access: Currently access is on foot only, although vehicle access has been possible in the past.
