Cane Wood is a stunning Semi-Natural Ancient Woodland nestled within the Chiltern Hills AONB. Tucked away at the far end of the larger Bensgrove Wood, Cane Wood offers complete peace and seclusion for those looking to escape into nature.

The woodland is dominated by mature beech and holly, with chestnut, birch, and the occasional yew, spruce, and ash adding to the diversity. Free from brambles, the site is easy to explore, with wide woodland pathways and open glades throughout. These clearings offer excellent opportunities for establishing bases for woodland activities.

A storage shed is already in place, though it would benefit from some updating. Near the main camp area, you’ll also find a fire pit and a deer hide. Please don't attempt to climb the hide; we're unsure of the safety of the platforms.

Practical benefits include the use of the large parking area at the main entrance. The nearby village of Woodcote is within walking distance, offering local shops and a welcoming pub. The picturesque riverside town of Henley-on-Thames is also local, while Reading and the M4 are just a short drive away.

The ward is Kidmore End and Whitchurch, and the County Council is Oxfordshire.

Boundaries: The boundary is open SW and SE and fenced N. All sides border neighbouring woodland. SW follows the main bridleway and access track. The boundary is also marked with pink paint.

Access: Vehicle access is possible all year round with a 4x4 via a hard track and a shared locked gate. Parking is possible within the woodland itself. There is also a large parking area at the main entrance.
