Fir trees and ferns, with ancient woodland indicator plants over looking meadows and a small river. A wood-bank runs along the lower north side of the wood marking the boundary. At the southern side are substantial fir trees which contrast with the recent planting of oak and silver birch to the north west. The level areas are perfect for glade formation and for a place to park and camp. A quiet, secluded and peaceful woodland to enjoy.

Burley Wood, of which lot 5 is part occupies an ancient mound with trees covering the slopes.

Above the wood there is an historic site, click HERE for map and details.

Access  -   there is a right of way from the public highway along the woodland track to lot 6, shown green on the wood plan.

Sporting rights  -  are reserved to a previous owner.
