Shepherds Bush Wood - Sold

A semi-natural ancient woodland situated in pretty countryside on the Devon Cornwall border close to market town of Holsworthy. Access is taken from the quiet country lane into a mature conservation woodland with oak, beech and ash predominating. With these are birch, hazel and hawthorn. Small clumps of wild daffodil mix with snowdrops and other woodland plants including dogs mercury.

Red and roe deer frequent the woodland, their "browse line" can be clearly seen. By the road the trees are quite thick giving seclusion and privacy while further back into the wood there are more open areas.The road forms one boundary, the others are banks to the north and south and a low bank at the east.

When visiting park off the road just past the 'Devon' sign and walk in over the bank where the deer take their access.
