Summerdown Wood and Meadow consists of a mostly level species-rich meadow with wild flowers including milkmaid, clover and creeping buttercup. The area of semi-natural ancient woodland is beautiful and gives lovely views of local countryside. As well as old hedge banks with beech trees, the woodland has ancient oak with ash, holly and hazel coppice. A most beautiful carpet of bluebells enhances the woodland in spring.

Fauna include badgers, roe deer seen on every visit so far. There is evidence of dormice and even a resident woodcock within the woodland.

The current owner has found sea fossils, flint tools and neolithic arrow heads which add yet further interest to this wonderful location.

At present the land is occupied by the vendor who will vacate the site after exchange of contracts; the land is for sale with vacant possession.

Due to animals being loose in the meadow the vendor has requested that viewing is by appointment only, please contact Bob Liles bob@forests.co.uk or tel 077931 40010 to view.

Ideally located in rural East Devon with Offwell as the closest village. Offwell, a small village with its own primary school and 15th Century church, also has a local Woodland and Wildlife trust.

The wood is located just a short distance from East Devon's most popular beaches. This part of the coast between Lyme Regis and Exmouth encompasses Jurassic coast and World Heritage Coast.
