A perfect example of traditional North Downs Kentish bluebell woodland with a flinty clay soil over a chalk base.

A very private, quiet woodland, with an abundance of wildlife including badgers, foxes, pheasants, owls  and rare wild flowers.  Established animal tracks run throughout the woodland creating useful paths.

It is ideal for those wishing to make use of the plentiful supply of wood from the ash, hazel, sycamore, oak, sweet chestnut and field maple from which a wide range of woodland products could be made or wood burning stoves supplied.

The woodland is classed as a plantation on ancient woodland which means most of the trees (ash, hazel, sycamore, oak, sweet chestnut and field maple ) were planted relatively recently in woodland terms,  in fact the aerial photo shows evidence of planting rows.   It's also located within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).  There is a TPO on the wood but this would not normally affect good woodland or conservation management.

Access is via a secure locked gate over a single track through the neighbouring woodland which is a right of way leading from the public road. The track leads to a vehicle turning circle within the wood. Sporting rights and mineral rights are included.

Boundaries: adjoin the field to the south east, south west and part of the west;  front the road for about 40 metres to the north - there is a red marker here. The other two boundaries with the woodland in the north east corner are white marks on the access track which indicate the start of woodland for sale.

Viewing: You are welcome to visit this wood by yourself, but please ensure that you have a copy of these sales details with you - many of our woodlands do not have mobile phone reception or internet access so we recommend either printing the details or downloading them to your phone/tablet/laptop. Please take care when viewing as the great outdoors can contain unexpected hazards and woodlands are no exception.
