South Durfold Wood - Sold

Description:  South Durfold Wood, on the Surrey Sussex border, is in the heart of one of the most heavily wooded areas of the UK.  A track with a right of way leads down to the woodland which is bounded on 3 sides by other woods and on the forth by meadowland. There are three parts to the wood - the pine, the western hemlock with spruce and at the back the broadleaved area of sweeet chesnut with oak and occasional beech. The pine is a pure stand but there is oak set amongst the hemlock/spruce growing straight and tall.

Access is from the track , this may need a little clearing but is easily walked. Locate the metal field gate - this is the entrance to the track, however it's easier to walk down the Woodland Trust path which runs parallel until this path turns right - go left at this point and join the woodland track. Continue down this until you see the for sale sign and high-viz tape. There is an old fence here running at right angles to the track. 

Boundaries are the trackside to the northwest, an old fence to the southeast, another old fence along the southwest and the bank bordering the path along the southeast.
